Blockout Roller Blinds
Blockout Roller Blinds create a modern, minimal look and provide privacy & insulation.
Roller Blinds can be installed inside the window reveals for those who prefer a minimal look. However, if you require room darkening, we recommend the blinds be installed onto the face of your architraves. This will help to reduce light gaps, especially in bedrooms.
For further light reduction, there are options such as pelmets and side channels which are often used for shift workers, as well as in theatre rooms.

Sunscreen Roller Blinds
Sunscreen Blinds provide privacy whilst allowing you to retain views and reduce heat and glare from direct sunlight.
These fabrics are UV stabilised and reduce heat significantly. They can also help to protect flooring and soft furnishings from fading over time due to direct sun.
Dual Roller Blinds
The addition of Sunscreen Roller Blinds behind your Blockout Roller Blinds provides flexibility for both daytime and nighttime privacy, as well as more light control.
Dual Roller Blinds are also more energy efficient as they provide an additional layer of insulation.
The combination of Sheer Roller Blinds in front of Blockout Roller Blinds can be a great alternative to standard dual roller blinds. This can provide a softer look, whilst still providing the great functionality of Dual Blinds.
Dual Roller Blinds can be operated both manually or motorised or even a combination of both on the same window.
In many cases, additional Sunscreen Blinds can be retro fitted behind existing Blockout Roller Blinds.
We can also guide you to future-proof your blind selections in case you wish to add screen blinds at a later date.

Sheer Roller Blinds
Sheer Roller Blinds are slightly different to Sunscreen Roller Blinds.
They are made from a softer, more natural cloth which is similar to sheer curtains, but has been stiffened.
These blinds can offer a more elegant look and can be used as a feature blind and installed in front of Blockout Roller Blinds and used as an alternative look to standard Dual Roller Blinds.
The sheer fabrics are not as UV stabilised as the sunscreen fabrics but will still diffuse the light and provide daytime privacy.
Sheer Roller Blind Fabrics can also coordinate with S-Fold Sheer Curtains if you have these in some areas of your home.
Translucent / Light Filtering Roller Blinds
Translucent Blinds are available in both plain and textured fabrics. In Tasmania, these are most commonly used in wet areas where room darkening and / or views are not required but they can provide a ‘finished’ look by dressing the window.
You cannot see through Translucent fabrics however, they diffuse light beautifully and provide both day and night privacy.
Motorised Roller Blinds
Technology has come ahead in leaps and bounds in the window furnishing industry. Both reliable and affordable, we have both Battery Operated and 240v Hardwired motorisation available for your roller blinds.
Battery Operated Motorisation can be installed in both new homes or existing and does not require an electrician.
Hardwired Motorisation can be pre-planned with your builder and electrician during the early stages of your build.
Remote Control
Both methods of motorisation can be operated using the same remote control so we can customise all windows in your home to suit individual needs and can also help to keep costs down.
Automate Pulse 2 Wi-Fi Hub is an optional extra which allows you to operated your motorised blinds using your smart phone or smart home device.
This easy-to-use app allows you to create scenes and use timers and operate your blinds remotely.

Roller Blinds on Sliding Doors
With the popularity of stacker sliding doors in many new homes these days, finding the right window treatment can be confusing.
This can be especially difficult as the depth of a sliding door reveal often cannot fit a dual blind setup.
We can guide you through the options that will work for your home and needs and ensure that the look will flow through to the remainder of your window furnishings.
Sliding Doors and Stacker Doors are now becoming increasingly wider to provide the open plan / outdoor entertaining area that we all love.
This means we may need to split the roller blinds over sliding doors to prevent the blinds from becoming too wide. We can help you make the right decisions for each window treatment to achieve the most functional and appealing result.

Light Gaps & Roller Blinds
Roller Blinds that are installed inside the window frames (recess fitted) will have light gaps down each side and along the top of the blind.
The sides will be approximately 12-15mm (finger thickness) and although the aluminium window frames will still provide privacy, the light will shine through so will not provide total darkness.
For clients who would like a darker room, we recommend that we install the blinds on the face of the window frame and underroll the fabric. This will make the blinds overlap and also sit close to the window frame to reduce the light gap and also provide more insulation.
An additional option for those clients who may be shift workers or just want total darkness, we can also provide side channels and optional top & bottom channels.
